Dendritic patch-clamp recording has revolutionized our understanding of neuronal excitability.
This intensive workshop, run by experienced instructors, will provide an introduction to the
theoretical principles of dendritic function, practical tips, and the opportunity to take part
in dendritic patch-clamp experiments.
There is no registration fee, and meals and accommodation will be provided.
Places on the course are limited to permit individual instruction. Applicants will be selected
based on their background and their motivation for learning the technique. Previous experience
with electrophysiological recordings is essential, and familiarity with patch-clamp recording
is highly desirable. Applicants should email a CV and letter of motivation to Michael Häusser
(m.hausser@ucl.ac.uk). Deadline for applications is Friday 27 October 2006.
Supported by ENI-NET, the Gatsby Foundation, and the Wellcome Trust.
