Postdoctoral Researcher in Laboratory for Aging Research and Cognitive Diseases

The Laboratory for Aging Research and Cognitive Diseases at the European Neuroscience Institute in Göttingen (ENI-G) has
immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher.

ENI-G is a state-of-the-art research institute jointly funded by the Max Planck Society and the University Medicine Goettingen
Using mice as model organisms our laboratory investigates how epigenetic processes such as histone-acetylation and DNA methylation
affect neuronal function, learning and memory. We combine molecular, cellular and behavioral experimental approaches. Our particular
interest is the deregulation of epigenetic mechanisms during the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases such as
Morbus Alzheimer and anxiety disorders.

Candidates should have a strong background in electrophysiology and preferentially also molecular biology.

The position is for 3 years and salary is according to TV-L E13 (standard public service salary).
