A post-doctoral position is open in the “Neural bases of spatial cognition and action team”, at the Cognitive Neuroscience Center, CNRS UMR 5229, in Lyon, France.

Project

The project aims at developing real-time neurofeedback-based cognitive brain-machine interfaces to enhance and restore attention and perception, both in an animal model of human cognition as well as in implanted epileptic patients. This project builds on recent work produced by the host team and opens important applicative as well as fundamental research perspectives.

Profile

The candidate should have hands on experience in multi-electrode single cell recordings and analyses in the awake behaving non-human primate, as well as in pharmacological intracortical injection experiments. A background in mathematics or in computational neurosciences and proficiency in Matlab are important added values. Strong language and writing English skills are also important. Prior experience in the neural bases of vision, attention and/or perception is more than welcome.
