Post-doctoral position in Louvain-la-Neuve/Belgium

The research team in Animal Molecular and Cellular Biology at the Life Sciences Institute, UC Louvain, at Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, offers a two-year postdoc fellowship, available for September/October 2015 to work on the function and mode of action of Hox proteins in the mouse.

The postdoc to be hired will be involved in a join research project between the research groups of Drs F. Gofflot and R. Rezsohazy aiming at the molecular phenotyping of conditional mutant mouse models, which will involve implementation, validation of protocols and interpretation of data issued from genomic and transcriptomic analyses (RNA-Seq and/or ChIP-Seq).

We look for a motivated scientist with a strong background in developmental and/or neuro-biology, mastering techniques of mouse phenotyping as well as in vitro systems for studying molecular processes. Expertise in biochemistry (protein purifications, EMSAs, affinity copurification assays,…) and molecular biology (ChIP, RNA seq, transcription assays,…) is desirable.

Applications will include a detailed CV, a motivation letter and coordinates of at least two persons of reference and should be sent to both:
Dr Françoise Gofflot: [email protected]; and  Dr René Rezsohazy: [email protected]
