Research Area
The group investigates how synaptic activity shapes the structural organization of central synapses and how the morphological dynamics of synapses in turn, regulate synaptic efficacy.
In particular, the molecular mechanisms that link synapse adhesion and cytskeleton to the regulation of synaptic plasticity and synapse stability are being studied by a combination of electrophysiology and imaging of individual synapses in cultured neurons.
