Neurophysiology of synaptic transmission
The Institute of Experimental Medicine ASCR in Prague
Research Area
The group’s research is aimed at revealing the roles of GABA and glycine in the medial nucleus of the trapezoid body.
Subprojects include:
- Localization and developmental phenotypes of receptors for GABA and glycine studied by electrophysiological and immunohistochemical methods.
- Modulation of excitatory synaptic transmission by pre- and postsynaptic GABA and glycine receptors.
- The roles of GABA and glycine transporters in the medial nucleus of the trapezoid body.
- Molecular interactions between GABA and glycine receptors.
